Description: SOLD INDIVIDUALLY From a 1939 Benjamin Catalog FOUR REMAINING, SOLD INDIVIDUALLYOne light per purchase..remaining four are pictured.If you looked at the pictures and didn't read the 1939 Benjamin Catalog Pages, I suggest you go back and do it, it's a fun read, very informative,.. you gotta love it. I've known about the possible existence of these lights for years, finding and negotiating a deal for them was nothing short of exhilarating. The light's purpose was to illuminate stock aisles with shelves on either side, while shielding eyes from glare and direct the light both to the sides and up. I feel the words "rare" and "scarce" are overused on eBay....but in this case....well.....what can I say?The lights were disassembled, cleaned inspected and re-wired. A 1 1/4" machined socket extension was added so today's shorter bulbs would work as the light intended them to work. I also installed a good solid ground wire for added safety. My commercial buyers love this option...pass your inspections!!The porcelain is very heavy and in "vintage" condition with chips etc., well pictured. One of the lights is in FAR better condition than the other three, "ask and ye shall receive", otherwise, I'll box randomly. There are plenty of bumps and bruises as shown in the numerous pictures. I have a growing clientele that appreciates a light showing age and service.The shades are about 11 inches by 7 inches. The height from the bottom to the ceiling is about 18 inches. The lights were photographed with vintage 7 inch galvanized down-rods. Also available with 3 or 10 inch, in either black or galvanized. (These would be new pipe). If no other choice is made, they'll ship as shown with the 7" galvanized down-rods.The original swivel hangers will let the light hang plumb on a less than level ceiling and also help protect the porcelain by allowing the light to move if bumped.In order to safely ship the lights, they will be disassembled, to be easily reassembled by the buyer.ONE LIGHT FOR THE PRICE.
