Description: Offered are 12 antique dinner plates by BFK, Boch Freres Keramis, in the art nouveau style. The pattern is Rosace. These were manufactured in Belgium in the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Each plate is in good - very good condition with no chips, cracks, major crazing, hard utensil marks, stains, or damage. They are considered ceramic pottery. There is what appears to be light crazing in a few areas on the backs of few plates and there are age related small areas of rub on the rims in few places, there are a few surface scratches. The pictures can describe the pattern much better than I can with words. Each plate measures 9 3/8" across. These are thicker and heavier than porcelain. The BFK Rosace back stamp is on the back of each. There is also an incised letter and number on the back of each plate. I have spent half of my day researching this set of plates and there is very little info available. The BFK company has a little known history with several company names involved, to included a member of the Villeroy and Boch china family. This pattern is extremely rate. If I have made any mistakes in my information please message me and let me know and I'll get it corrected. These plates would make a very nice, eye catching, wall arrangement. Shipping, Fed Ex $23.00, includes delivery confirmation and insurance. Shipping costs depend on the buyer's zip code and the size and weight of the shipment. I refund the difference if more shipping is paid, I pay the difference if I calculated incorrectly.
