Description: Presented is a set of 10 beautiful Japanese Imari bowls from the mid 19th century, 1830 to 1880. This set has a stunning brocade design with two scenes repeated around the internal sides, one of a dragon in the cloud and the other a landscape scene, with a peach is at the center. The bowls have been hand-painted with brilliant colors. This set has great scalloped edge with a gold trim. The underside of each piece is marked with a Japanese character. We have other pieces in this pattern. We encourage you to view our page or reach out if you are interested in more of this collection. This set is in great overall condition. All the bowls have crisp painted details. Some of the bowls have a small rough spot under the glaze. These places are not wear but from the original making of the piece. Most of the bowls have at least some loss to the gilding along the edge and two have lost all gilding on the peach decoration. One bowl has two very small chips which can be seen in the photos. There are no breaks, no cracks, and no repairs. Measurements: 7 inches in diameter -kc Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
