Plants grow to a height 3 to 4 feet and produce white, star-shaped flowers that open in the early evening and fill the air with a sultry, jasmine perfume. A seed catalog printed in 1889 recommends planting Jasmine tobacco in the center of a bed of evening flowers, strategically sited under the parlor window. Once the seedlings reach about 3 inches in height you may transplant them to bigger pots or directly into your garden. Water thoroughly after transplanting, daily until plants are established, and 2 to 3 times per week thereafter.
