11 Eastern US Map Prints Encyclopedia Britannica 9th Ed. 1889 Michigan Illinois

These are genuine 1889 illustrations--NOT reproductions.These steel plate engraving prints were included in The Encylopaedia (Encyclopedia) Britannica, Ninth Edition, 1889. Charles Scribner's Sons, New York.The illustrations are printed on medium weight paper and are blank on the reverse. All 11 prints are 14.5 x 10" margins included with a fold in the center as it was issued. Crease will flatten nicely and be hardly noticeable with professional mounting.The border size of the maps are approximately 12 x 8.5". Some are a little larger some a little smaller. A few of the prints have small tears and chips around the edges however there are no tears into the images except for the Michigan print which has a crease split and chip just reaching into into the image. Remnants on reverse side of all maps of attachment paper at crease (does not affect print). Please look closely at the photos.
