Description: This listing is for a 14 piece lot of antique or vintage medical and surgical tools. I'm not sure what all these tools are but I know one is called a reflex hammer, also I think are trauma shears, and definitely hemostats, and various medical scissors and various tweezers and maybe forceps - I'm not totally sure what they all are. There are some nail clippers too but they came in this lot so I'm just keeping them altogether. For all I know it belonged to a foot doctor. :) I have taken a lot of close up pics. I think they are mostly all stainless steel except the hemostats they seems to be more tarnished that other and so I'm not sure about those as much. But I took super close photons to show any markings on them. So there are the oldest ones I believe - the hemostats - they are marked with "setz Germany" this is a surgical device and tool company that is still in business today. There is a reflect hammer with an orange red rubber triangle I saw this described by others as a Sklar orthopedic Knee Reflex Hammer. There was one listed for $50 alone! Then there some tiny medical scissors just marked "Germany". And then the coolest marking are in these nippers that are like pliers but also cut and I've seen things similar to this in nail salons to cut cuticles but I don't know for sure what to call it. But it has this stamped on it "H & H w. Germany - A. Schee" I can't find anything on these. They could be worth a fortune for all I know. Then there is another pair of small scissors that are stamped "made in Germany" and then there are some stainless steel trauma shears these are the things the paramedics use to cut your clothes off - or maybe the cast people use to cut bandages off inside the cast - super sharp scissors but with this weird blunt tip so it won't cut your skin- they are marked "stainless - Pakistan" and the. There are these weird tweezers or pliers that I can't find anywhere and when I search them they always show me scissors but they are scissors at all. They are a really odd shaped long long plier and they are marked USA. Ok. Nothing else is marked. There are 14 pieces total. Most are surgical and medical tools and some are manicure tools. This awesome and cool vintage estate sale find probably isn't much older than the 40's - I only say that because one is marked West Germany and so that tool anyway can't be older than that. These were a really awesome score and they came with a large interesting lot of antique medical gems and vintage finds, including TONS of different medical models, like - spines, knees, kidneys, blood vessels, hand bones, shoulders, collarbone, a scapulae. And there are also a LOT of stethoscopes with an entire stethoscope repair kit and many antique medical tools like hemostats, various clamps, tweezers, forceps, medical scissors, trauma shears, and lots of other stainless steel medical tools most marked made in Germany with one makes made in Pakistan. I also got a TON of really cool vintage medical posters that are really really nice quality with metal edging and borders. I will put some photos at the end of this listing that shows all this other stuff and you can find the other items in our other listings. I got this at an estate sale, and the nature of estate sales are such that you often never really know the source of the items that you are buying, you have to do a lot of guessing as to the age. So I am not sure how old this is or what exactly it is worth but I do know that it is really cool and in really good condition. This comes from a smoke free and perfume free home.
