1/43 1951 Rolls Royce Phantom IV Shah Iran ABC Brianza #43218 Factory Seal MISB

Description: I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! This one is a little out of my wheelhouse. I ran across a few of these remarkable multimedia kits from Brianza of Italy. They have a fantastic reputation for quality and detail, so I took a chance and added some to my collection. The subjects seem obscure to me, but I am not a ‘vintage cars guy’. These have beautifully sculpted resin bodies and interiors, metal wheels, rubber tires, white metal and photo etched metal details, along with decals and plastic parts, in some cases. There is no engine (being a “curbside” model), but the interior is well detailed. The full name for this kit is the 1951 Rolls Royce Phantom IV Shah Di Persia 4AF6. Wikipedia has some excellent info on the Phantom IV car: · Only 18 were built for royalty and heads of state· The Shah returned this car (4AF6) to Roll Royce in 1959 because it flexed too much on Iranian roads and the chassis was scrapped· The one made for Princess (now Queen) Elizabeth (4AF2) is still being used for royal ceremonies, like bringing Meghan Markle to her wedding in 2018. There are three of these listed on eBay (two from Europe), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you very quickly. Here is what I have found about this model: The Brianza site (abcbrianza.it) has a bare-bones page for this kit showing the parts laid out. We get a look at the resin body, interior, seats and roof, metal underside and axles, white metal door parts, metal wheels, rubber tires, photo etched metal detail parts, blue fabric and a small set of decals. You can order one there, so it is still available. Scalemates.com has a listing that shows the same photo of the kit parts laid out, but there is no other information about this kit. There is a long (43 minutes) Build Review Video from hpiguys Workshop on YouTube for one of the other ABC Brianza kits (#43366 1930 Ford Model AA Tandem Truck 1/43). I assume most of these kits are similar in composition and construction, so the parts review and building tips should apply to this kit, as well. I liked his use of a drill and socket set to take the shine off the tire treads. As a bonus, he shows us the parts for the #43222 1956 VW Bulli Transporter Porsche 550 kit about 8 minutes from the end. This kit is in a colorful, sturdy box about 5.5” x 4” x 2.5”. As you can see from the pictures, the box is pristine but was never sealed at the factory. I photographed the contents which were factory-sealed in stapled baggies or bubble-wrap before repackaging them and throwing on a tape strip, so it is now factory-sealed inside and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete multimedia model kit with resin, metal and photo etched components and blue fabric, along with rubber parts and a small sheet of decals with an exploded-view instruction sheet.
