The gem tester cannot distinguish between a treated stone or and a natural untreated stone. For example, rubies and sapphires are more likely treated than natural. The gem tester also cannot distinguish between a man-made carbon diamond and one that occurs naturally and is mined from the earth. Here is a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity pin in 14K yellow gold with Royal Blue enamel decoration. The pin is engraved on back with the member number 48204 and is in excellent pre-owned condition.
