Description: Offered here is a well struck very rare date as listed by Davenport 1633 large silver coin from the United Netherlands or Lion Dollar (daalder). In Davenport the 1633 of Utrecht is VERY RARE. Known by the colonists as a so-called dog dollar as the lion to them looked more like a dog than a lion. The lion dollar was one of the first silver dollar size coins used in colonial America. It was called a Daalder which is what became the U.S. dollar. So, America's first silver dollar which was recognized world wide. If an early colonists had a large silver coin it could have been a lion or dog dollar. The one I offer was minted in Utrecht, the United Netherlands. It is well struck with the knights facial features well defined. I grade it as at EF/AU on a nearly round planchet. Quite a nice specimen. If you want a very rare date at a nearly common price this coin may be for you. See the scans. U.S. shipping is $4. It will cost me more. PayPal or your check. I AM ALWAYS OPEN TO OFFERS ON ANY OF MY LISTINGS. JUST ASK. WORST THING IS I SAY NOI COMBINE SHIPPING USUALY ADDING NOTHING AND WHEN I DO ONLY ENOUGH TO COVER ADDITIONAL INSURANCE OR POSTAGE. IF YOU PAY FOR MORE THAN ONE ITEM, I WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE. THE LEGEND ON LION DOLLARS TRANSLATES TO VARIENTS OF "THOSE WHO TRUST IN GOD ARE IMMOVABLE / SILVER MONEY OF THE NETHERLANDS CONFEDERATION."
