Description: PCGS authenticated and graded AU 55. Very attractive glossy medium grayish steel with lighter silvery gray toning on the devices. The surfaces are smooth and void of any defects. The obverse (tree side) is misaligned to the top, as always on this variety, while the reverse is reasonably well centered on the planchet. The date and denomination are bold. This is the finer of the 2 examples of the variety contained in the famous John Ford Collection. A wonderful example of this tough denomination. Listed on page 41 in the "Redbook." Weight 18.7 grains. Ex; F. C. C. Boyd Collection - John J. Ford, Jr. Collection, Stack's 10/18/2005:139 Year - 1652Variety - Noe-34Rarity - 4
