Free US Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More Maps and Prints Description: It is an authentic antique star map approximately 210 years old, blank on reverse, printed on high cotton rag paper, very typical of the era. It was originally published by Richard Phillips in the The Wonders of the Telescope (London: 1809), a copy of the title page is included. It is being sold as a single loose print that is not mounted, matted nor framed, basically as seen in the main pic. It is a rare early astronomy print. Condition: It is in Very Good condition for its age with horizontal and 2 vertical folds as issued, binding tab still attached. There are a couple of minor specks, nothing distracting and a couple of very minor edge tears repaired on reverse with archival materials, see the pics for more on condition. The bottom left margin was cropped tight for folding into the atlas as originally published. Overall, a very nice and well preserved early star chart that would frame up well.
