Description: Lovely Antique Staffordshire JAPAN FLOWERS Red Pink Transferware Teapot with Matching Lid (as is). Also, an Orphan Lid from another Pattern not identified. This Hard-to-Fine Teapot was produced by Ridgway, Morley & Wear, Staffordshire, England – c, 1836-42. This beautiful Oriental Pattern features an Orchid in a Vase in the center. The Teapot is profusely decorated with other types of Flowers and Seashell designs. Truly lovely! The Teapot is in good condition. Handle has been re-glued in several places and there are some nibbles on the Spout and Inner Rim. Measures 10 ½” from Spout to Handle and 6 ¾” in height. The Teapot Lid is broken into 5 pieces and is complete except for one small ~¼” section which is missing (could easily be professionally restored, if desired, or just glue it yourself (currently it is temporarily taped for the photos). Measures 4 ¼” in diameter. The second Lid is from a Sugar Bowl as it has no vent. It has some edge chips (could be cleaned) and a couple of minor surface cracks on the inside rim. Measures 4 ½” in diameter.
