Free Shipping on Purchases of 5 or More Maps and Prints Description: It is an original engraved antique map from Atlas to Alison's History of Europe (Edinburgh and London: William Blackwood, 1848) with the maps by Alexander Keith Johnston, whose name appears in the bottom left and the publishing details in the bottom center margin. In general, the maps are handcolored showing major routes of campaigns, troop positions, batteries and other details. These are particularly in very nice shape, linen backed, great for framing or study. Size: The map image measures approximately 6 by 8 inches on a 7 1/4 by 9" page with about a half inch all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Good condition for its age with overall tonal ageing and some darkening around the edges, not as dark as in the pics. There is a short tear in the top margin as seen in the pic. It is printed on a bright and heavy page, backed with linen with some handcoloring of the positions. In general, the map is very clean with no obvious defects to mention. See the pics of the actual map.
