Heenan vs. Tom Sayers (pre-fight) * Famous & 1st World championship boxing The double page centerfold features nine prints headed: "Great International Fight in England Between John C. Heenan (Benicia Boy) and Tom Sayers for the Champion's Belt of England." with a bit of text as well. The prints show both men in training for what would become one of the more notable boxing matches of the 19th century. The front page and inside pages including a nice doublepage have prints concerning the "Shoemakers' Strike at Lynn" Massachusetts. Sixteen pages, very nice condition.
