The book includes a full-page colour Ethnographical Map of Ancient Italy at the beginning of the book. Tan calf leather boards with a gilt border and gilt crest. Minor marks and wear to the boards. Five raised bands with a black title block, gilt lettering and gilt decoration on the spine. Small tear to the leather in the top section and part of the title block. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Light foxing to prelims, flyleaf and title page. All pages are tight and the book is in very good condition. xx, 564 pages. 22 x 14.5 cm.
