This work contains early English alliterative poetry, specifically using the West-Midland dialect. It was edited based off of a manuscript in the library of the British Museum. With an introduction, notes and full index by Richard Morris. Richard Morris was also the editor of an unusual cookbook with recipes written in rhyming verse, titled 'Liber Cure Cocorum'. It was first printed from a transcript made by Morris in 1862 from a text in the British Library. CONDITION Rebound in full cloth with renewed endpapers. Externally, very smart with fading to the spine and a couple light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with a few spots to the first and last few leaves, excluding endpapers.
