Description: For sale is a very nice 1864 Two Cent Piece. The Two Cent Piece was minted 1864 to 1873. Many people didn't even know that there was such a thing as Two Cent Pieces. That is because they were a pretty short-lived coin only being minted for less than 9 years. This was the very first US coin to also feature the phrase "In God We Trust." Because they are so scarce Two Cent Pieces are valuable coins, even in lower grades.As you can see from the pics the coin is in very good shape, and it would come in at a VG grade. The date and images are present and bold on both sides. All lettering and images are very sharp, including most of the fine lines on the shield on the obverse, a sign of a high grade coin. The coin has no major blemishes and it has not been cleaned. I do have multiple coins available in the exact same condition and grade if you were interested in buying more than one.
