Each recommendation with its own dedicated page, dated and stating the name and location (town) of the one giving the recommendation. A combination of those written directly in the log book or letters that have been tipped-in on their own page. A total of 46. This includes one that is loose, dating from 1867. As an interesting biographical addition, the log book includes a tipped in letter of introduction and recommendation from the headmaster of White Hall Academy dated September 04th, 1855.
