Description: 1870s NAPOLEON III CHIME CLOCK (Recently Serviced). This BEAUTIFUL 150yr old clock is WONDERFUL! It's nearly Perfect! It Looks beautiful,Sounds Wonderful and it runs perfectly, The clock is as Clean as a whistle,it has a Very Nice design under the glass with a hint of mother of pearl,( not gaudy like the others out there)I think this one is the oldest available. On the internet, the gaudy mother of pearl clocks came later. The clock has a Very nice porcelain dial with raised Roman numerals ( also porcelain) encased in brass.It also has a lever/ brace to hold the glass up while winding and a lock to keep the door closed. ( the dial does have hairline crack,check pictures) This clock has Just recently been taken completely apart, and cleaned. The movement is in Very good shape and that has been serviced as well.(see pictures for before and after)This clock is ready to go NOW. All that it needs is an owner who appreciates Fine things,to hang it up, and sit back and enjoy it. I'm SO sorry but I can not be responsible for the shipping on this clock. I do not trust the shipping companies for an item like this,unless they are responsible for it.Then they seem to be A - ok.. But if you wanted the clock, I will happily take it to the shipping co.
