Description: Offered for sale is one of the earliest Liebig Meat Extract trade cards from a series Pictures of Children III, circa 1873, in English, from a twelve-card set (S42). This card, which was printed in Paris, has a strange image of a boy in a brown wetsuit, paddling himself (floating on his back) down a river, with a giant jar of Liebig meat extract on his stomach and an American flag between his feet. These early cards are scarce, and much sought after by Liebig chromo collectors. Please enlarge pictures for best view of condition. Card measures about 4 by 2.75 inches (10.5 x 7 cm.).
