Original publisher cloth binding shows wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, moderate toning and wear to the leather on the spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes and chipping to the leather, and rubbing, soiling and staining to the page edges. Otherwise this is an attractive, well-preserved antique volume! Internally, this volume is in great shape as well. Both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding. There are no bookplates, signatures, inscriptions, or library markings to note. The text block of this volume is clean throughout. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as some minor foxing and soiling scattered throughout, and some general light edge wear in the margins. There’s also some light staining from early exposure to moisture visible in the bottom margin. Otherwise very clean and perfectly readable throughout.
