Printed on cardstock ( paperboard; much thicker than ordinary paper ). 13 1/2" wide. 17 1/8" tall. Elaborately decorated , including a Victorian era wedding ceremony scene , angels , flowers , doves , the Holy Bible , a church , a family home , etc. At the top, above all and above the angels , is the All-seeing Eye surrounded by golden radiance ( which represents God ), and " He Shall Give His Angels Charge Over Thee ." At the bottom is " The Voyage Of Life " with the married couple sailing in a boat together. Includes two Scripture verses in gilt oval cartouches : " He that loveth his wife loveth himself." - Eph. 5:28 " She will do him good all the days of her life." - Prov. 31:12 " Holy Matrimony " in gold lettering. Additional gold decoration. " This is to certify that John Henry Lamb of Naples in the State of Maine and Ellen L. Stone of Naples in the State of Maine were by me Joined together in Holy Matrimony on the Twenty-second day of November in the year of our Lord , One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-five. A couple of short tears at the margin have been carefully closed with a bit of glue. A little curled from having spent time being rolled. Otherwise good.
