Description: Attention Civil War Fans!!! You are bidding on a rare antique hardcover book titled A HISTORY OF THE ELEVENTH NEW HAMPSHIRE REGIMENT VOLUNTEER INFANTRY IN THE REBELLION WAR 1861-1865. Covering its entire service, with interesting scenes of Army life, and graphic details of battles, skirmishes, sieges, marches, and hardships, in which its officers and men participated. By Leander W. Cogswell. Printed by Republican Press Association, 1891. Has illustrations and a fold-out map. This is the scarce and collectible First Edition. The book has been rebound at some point in red cloth binding with gold lettering on spine. The covers remain firmly attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges. The pages are clean and tightly bound (784 pages). Book remains in very good condition. NOTE: The book was once part of the library of The Historical Society of York County, The David Wepman Collection and has the bookplate on inside of front cover. The bookplate has two "Withdrawn" ink stamps on it. It also has the ex-libris number on the spine. The dedication page has ink stamp of W. E. Clark. It is possible that he is a relative of a Clark mentioned several times in the book. Would make a terrific addition to a Civil War book collection. Great gift idea!
