Description: 18th Century Nicolas Augustin Chappuy Violin This French violin boasts a colorful and powerful sound! Such clarity in the articulation. It was professionally restored and appraised by Rodger Stearns about 5 years ago. The paper states it’s the work of Chappuy. It is unlabeled. I initially sold the violin and separately sold a Francois Voirin Bow to the same client in 2019. He is liquidating most of his collection as you see me listing rare guitars and mandolins as well. I love the patina and natural look of this violin. On this violin I had inlaid an actual Roman Emperor Probus coin into the tailpiece. Very Beautiful touch. The FN Voirin Bow is sold separately. It belonged to my late cousin and mentor Hoot Hester, formerly staff musician of the Grand ole Opry. This is the 2nd time it’s passed through. Very best bow I’ve ever encountered by far. It is Butter! It will be sold separately. This ad is for the violin. Video: https://youtu.be/UcBt2TQu61Y?si=8O5CMh3kBrR_ecde Ships Worldwide! God Bless!
