Description: Original ca 1900 cabinet photo of a man, possibly Henry Benoit of New Braunfels, Texas, posing with his dog, a cocker spaniel, while on a hunting and/or fishing trip. Note the tents in the background. Photo is 5 ½ x 6 ½”. This and other photos were found with photos from the Benoit family of New Braunfels, Texas. Some of the men in that family were tinners or tin smiths, and Henry Benoit served as game warden of Comal County in the early 1900s. Keep in mind, this photo is not identified as to persons or location. Additional research will need to be done by the winning bidder. The card is damaged and the lower left corner and has other light wear. The image is very good. Please see scans. NO LOCAL PICKUPS.
