Description: #6 - For sale is a framed chromolithograph print from an antique Illumination & Ornamentation book from the very late 1800's or early 1900's. The page number and type of ornamentation is printed under the mat so I cannot give you information on that. There were so many different categories, such as tapestries, ceramics, stained glass, metalwork, etc. I do remember that all of the printing work was done in Germany. This one in particular has a lot of gold in it. Just beautiful! I had this framed for myself about 35 years ago and it was part of my collection. This is the actual page from the book and not a reprint. The colors are beautiful, probably as clear and bright as when they were made over 125 years ago. Also, it was professionally framed and is under glass.
