1900s The Frog Prince Die Cut PAPER DOLL Lion COFFEE K32 Stand Up Card Nursery

Description: This fantastic PAPER Doll (also referred to as a Paper toy or Card ) is one from a series of 30, issued by the WOOLSON SPICE CO. of Toledo Ohio as an insert premium in their brand of LION COFFEE. This series is listed as K32 in Burdicks American Card Catalogue with the title “ Children’s Dolls With Story”. The toy has been factory die-cut and folded along the shoulder lines, so that the collector could stand them up and use them as toys or Dolls. The back of the card features a story that matches the featured doll.. This particular one features THE FRONG PRINCE The piece measures when folded over 5 inches by 2 inches approximately at its tallest and widest points. The card does have an small edge tear at the at the bottom of the back flap. The fold over seams are fully intact with no splitting. I have scanned the card both front and back fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself. This is a rare and highly desirable cross over collectable. It is coveted by paper doll and toy collectors and coffee advertising collectors, Because of the fact that it was issued as a toy to be played with, and that it is fairly fragile to begin with, not many have survived over the 120 years (a true American Antique). They are very prone to being torn apart at the seams, and finding one intact is tough.
