With 20 stunning colour illustrated plates depicting the beautiful landscapes and buildings of Montreux, Switzerland. Each plate has a tissue guard. With 14 chapters entitled The Swiss Riviera, The Castle of Chillon, Bonivard, The Later Life of Bonivard, Bonivard's Wives, The Later History of Chillon, Salvationists at Chillon, Vevey, The Regicides, The Pietists, Madame De Warens, Byron, 'Obermann', and Doyen Bridel. Bound in dark blue hardboards with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Bumped and chipped to head and tail of spine. Front and rear joints are split. Binding slightly pulling. Pages clean. This book is in good overall condition. 112 pages. 23.5 x 17 cm.
