Description: Here's a very cool old photo of the legendary racehorse Exterminator. This was likely taken in the late 1910s or 1920s because it still shows him with racing bandages (he lived until 1945 but raced from 1917 to 1924). He was an extremely popular horse so there were many photos taken of him, but I have not seen this same shot before so it's possibly unique or just one of those that got lost over the past century. It's hard to say exactly how old this photo is because the frame is sealed so I can't see if there's anything written on the back of the photo, but the frame clearly has a lot of age to it and this was with a collection of other photos that had dates listed on them in the 1920s and 1930s. This is an 8"x10" photo and the frame is slightly larger. There is some paint loss on the edges of the frame and the backing is not in the greatest condition, but the photo itself looks to be in great condition other than some sun or light fading from being displayed over the years.
