Description: This listing is for a 1919 cancelled check from the Chicago Cubs that was paid to Price Waterhouse & Co. (now PwC). This is an extremely rare opportunity for any employee or partner at PwC that is a Chicago Cubs fan to own a piece of both Cubs and PwC's history and would look exceptional in a frame for display. This check was signed by William L. Veeck, the President of the team from 1919 until his death in 1933. Under Veeck's leadership, the Cubs won two pennants in 1929 and 1932, and he helped transform Wrigley Field into its present look, with ivy-covered walls and concrete bleachers in the outfield. The check was endorsed with a stamp on the reverse to "The Corn Exchange Natl Bank - Price, Waterhouse & Company." The check is dated August 18, 1919 (8/18/1919) and was for $600.00.
