Issued as a promotional item by Metropolitan Life Insurance for the use of its Industrial Policy-holders, it is stamped with the broker name and address in Valencia California. Filled with a variety of facts about the bodies daily requirements as perceived during that era (a hoot), it is loaded with a wide grouping of recipes based on meals, as well as food groups. This is an entertaining and humorous read. Condition is very good with minor page edge tanning, spotting on the last pages, staining to the soft covers and crimping to the points - there is a faint cooking smell when I hold it directly to my nose - does not detract.
