Description: This is a 1922 mailing issued on behalf of the USDA, Bureau of Animal Industry by the Inspector in Charge of Tuberculosis Eradication's Local Office in Indianapolis in accordance with the rules and regulations of the cooperative agreement signed by Indiana farmers under the accredited herd plan. The mailing includes a letter, the Farmers' Bulletin 954 Rev. 1918 "The Disinfection of Stables" and a document "in accordance with the provisions of B.A,I. Order 263, the Bureau has granted permission for the use .... of cresol and the how to's etc. Begun in 1917, the Cooperative State–Federal Tuberculosis Eradication Program, which was administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), State animal health agencies, and U.S. livestock producers, has nearly eradicated bovine TB from the Nation's livestock.
