Description: Autographed official National League (Heydler) baseball signed in black steel tip fountain pen by 7 members of the 1926 Cardinals along with George Sisler (Browns) and Stan Musial. Signatures include Rogers Hornsby (1963), Jim Bottomley (died 1959), George Sisler (died 1973), Frankie Frisch (died 1973), Taylor Douthit (died 1986), Virgil Davis (died 1984) and Stan Musial (died 2013) (who was added in the modern era with a ballpoint pen signature). The ball does appear to be game used, as the patina on the ball indicates it was prepared for major league use. Signatures range in grade from 5-8 and this ball would display perfectly as a Rogers Hornsby single, a tougher single signed baseball as Hornbsy retired as one of baseballs gratest hitters and died in 1963.
