MacNeil and issued jointly by the American Numismatic Society and the New York Historical Society to commemorate the 300th Anniversary of the purchase of Manhattan by the Dutch from the Native Americans in 1626, and has both of the organizations' initials present on the obverse (ANS & NYHS).It is numbered 86 on the edge, out of a very limited mintage of just 100 medals that were struck in bronze.
