Description: FOR SALE! In this auction we have a nice toy for your consideration. This is a vintage 1929 tube of Tinker Toys. This tube measures 12 inches tall and contains 59 pieces consisting of 13 red spools, 7 - 10 7/8" rods, 7 - 7 1/2" rods, 9 - 5" rods, 1 - 4 1/4" pointed rod, 6 - 3 3/8" rods, 5 - 2 1/8" rods, 4 - 1 3/8" pointed rods and 7 - 1 1/4" rods. Not sure if all the parts are here since the label does not say how many pieces were in the tube. The instructions and metal cap for the tube are missing. The tube label itself is a work of art with illustrations of what you can build with Tinker Toys. The label reads 1929 The Toy Tinkers Inc. Evanston, Ill. U.S.A. The pieces have stains and the spools have some color loss. The tube has stains, color loss on the label, missing the metal top and rust on the metal base. See photos for details.
