Description: Lightweight black Chantilly style lace, and a beaded detail on one shoulder, plus a coordinating silk slip highlights this late 1920's or early 30's dress. With a fringe design at the tapered sleeves, the black silk slip extends several inches below the unusual, irregular hemline. The dress has no fasteners, the slip snaps at the waist. One shoulder has a swirling floral design, with two shapes of beads, chiffon inserts, and pastes, or rhinestones. The dress measures 34" around at the bust, not including the gap in the front, which shows the lace-trimmed slip. It's 31" around at the waist, is 46" long in back. The slip measures 18" across at the bust, 16 1/2" across at the waist, it's 43" long. The mannequin has a 34" bust, 25" waist, 36-37" hip, and a 15" shoulder span measured in back, for reference. It's a very good fit on her. The dress has a "38" tag inside. In good condition, with several holes to the lace scattered around the dress. There are 2-3 smaller ones on each sleeve, a couple at the side near the underarm, maybe a nickel in size, one or two on the net edging, a couple on the back, which should be visible in the photos, a few others scattered around. The slip has a 4" vertical tear right at the hem, one hole to the lace hem.The beaded design at the shoulder is in very good condition.
