Description: This handsome 1930s Double Jewel Parker Vacumatic fountain pen and pencil set was acquired in the brown clamshell case – not sure if original to the set. The double jewel pen is 5 ¼” in length. No chips or cracks, no digs or bites and a barrel imprint followed by the Date Code .37. The early metal lockdown filler is working smoothly. The Gold Filled trim and wide arrow clip are very nice, no wear to the etched Art Deco pattern bands with uninscribed cartouches – the only wear is to the edges of the blind cap tassie. The 14K Gold Parker Arrow nib is a Firm Fine with plenty of iridium. The matching pencil is in similar fine condition and is working well with lead. All black jewels are excellent. Both pen and pencil have barrel personalizations “B E NICODEMUS M.D.” A handsome early set - not polished or cleaned. All our pens are sold as acquired from local estates, Untested.
