Description: This is photo and postcard album documenting 3 trips to the Tyrolean Alps and vicinity from 1932, 1933 and 1934. There are about 40 pages containing a mix of about 70% postcards and 30% photos taken by the person(s) who created this album. There are a total of about 290 postcards and photos. All the postcards and photos are in pretty good condition. About 10 of them have become unmoored from the pages and some pages have obviously missing items. Some photos are held by celluloid corners that have darkened with age but these holders have not stained the photos they are holding. The postcards are all "Real Photo" type post cards. Some of the photos show scenes of hiking, skiing and mountaineering. The album itself is in good structural and cosmetic condition (see photos). It measures approximately 16" x 11". Each page has a tissue paper overlay to protect the photos. There are also 2 sprigs of edelweiss pasted in the album. This album was found at an estate sale in Massachusetts.
