Description: 1938*WFL 6.5x14 Zephyr Lug Snare. Pre-War model with Leedy NOB (brass) hoops. Standard WFL 3-ply (tight) shell with maple glue-rings. Bearing edges and snare beds perfected and trued by the late/great Paul Bleifuss, a master at his craft. (8) Zephyr lugs. WFL throw-off works, but not fast. Evans S14H30 snare head floats over bearing edges for precision tuning. Same goes for the Aquarian American Vintage batter head. 20-strand Puresound wire set is another nice upgrade. This drum has the sonic advantage of 80+ years of aging and still in-round! For sound and playability, you get deep and tight with no rattling snare wires (not typical of most drums of this era).*Late 1930s; most likely 1938. Continental US buyer pays $480 plus a flat $44 shipping, includes insurance.
