Description: Vintage 1940's Era & Style Silky Soft Satin Baby Infant Child Tied Comforter & Matching Pillow Cover Features lovely yellow embroidered flowers on each corner on the topside, and blanket stitching on the backside. Delicate ivory ecru colored soft lace trim sewn around the perimeter of the comforter and across the open end of the pillowslip. Use as originally intended, or it would be adorable for a display set for vintage or antique dolls in a old-school baby bed. Comforter measures 50" x 40"; pillowslip measures 14" x 12". Hand-made and has nice softness and some "fluff" on the fill. No lumps like it was filled with old cotton batting, and it is light.....so I believe it may be down filled. It has a few small issues that need attention/mends (see blown-up marked photos), but otherwise good condition. It was dry cleaned many years ago before it was stored away, even covered on a hanger with the dry cleaner plastic still over it when I got it, yet I noted it has again gained some vintage age yellowing or dust lines...... most notably on the fold lines as it hung on the hanger. I did not try to do anything with it, and I left the dry cleaner tags (another thought it may be down filled, but not for certain). Please study all photos in zoom for your best study. It is shiny being satin, and it reflected a lot of light (even in natural light) so the color may not be showing well. In person it presents as a pale blue color with yellow ties, embroidery and blanket stitching. Shipping: USPS with tracking, insurance.
