Description: WWII Handwritten Letter Hospitality House for Service MenSan Francisco, California An interesting vintage letter written by a service man. This is a love letter written to his sweetheart, which also references the somewhat secret nature of their relationship and potential "gossip" by others. The letter is written on exceptional letterhead featuring an image of the SF Hospitality House for Service Men on the top of each page. The letter itself is dated Feb 16, 1942 on the first page. It was found stored in an envelope also from the Hospitality House for Service Men...however, the postmark on the envelope is Feb 16, 1946. The envelope is likely from a different letter four years later, but this letter was stored in the envelope for some reason. The envelope is addressed to the same woman in the letter. SIZE: This is a 4 page letter. Each page measures 8.5" by 11" in size.CONDITION: The letter is in good overall condition. The pages are intact with no tears, no holes, and no water damage. The pages do show heavy fold lines. It was folded into fourths...but also has vertical fold lines like it was kept in someone's pocket at one point. The envelope has significant wear and tattering from handling, age, and being in storage. The item will ship secured via USPS Ground Advantage.Shipping and handling for this listing is FREE.
