Description: 1950’s Vintage Orange Angora Puff Sleeve Sweater This one has been in my collection for a few years, and I’m finally coming to terms with the fact that orange is just not my color. When I found it, it was covered in moth holes. I had this repaired, so now it has beautiful darns scattered throughout. Despite most of the holes being darned, there are still a couple places that were missed (the most notable being under the left armpit, and on the back neckline— shown in the last 2 photos). There’s also some very faint matting under the arms. She isn’t perfect, but presents beautifully when worn. The luxurious feel is most definitely still in tact! Also, I thought it would be interesting to note that the designer, Luisa Spagnoli, was an Italian businesswoman who not only designed clothing— but had her start in chocolate making. She was an activist for working women, and hired women to work for her during the First World War while their husbands were on the front lines; simultaneously providing childcare in her factories.
