Description: This 1951 Johnny Groth Exhibits Large Card MLB Detroit Tigers is the exact item you will receive and has been certified Authentic by REM Fine Collectibles. The 1947-66 Exhibits, manufactured and distributed by the Exhibit Supple Company of Chicago, Illinois, consists of more then 330 cards measuring 3-3/8” by 5-3/8” over two decades. The black-and-white heavy, cardboard stock postcard sized cards are unnumbered and have blank backs. As the company produced a yearly issuance for the set, players with lengthy careers can have numerous cards, while other players may only have one or two produced, creating different levels of scarcity within the set as a whole. Each card features a black-and-white action or portrait photograph with the player’s name written in script, emulating the player’s signature, near the bottom of each in white or black. Due to the duration of the set issuance, variations and styles are prevalent and some included semi-gloss paper print. At the bottom right corner of each, “Made in U.S.A.” is printed in white. Featured in this extensive set are players like Whitey Ford, Harmon Killebrew, Mickey Mantle, Barney McCosky, Stan Musial, Satchel Paige, Bobby Richardson, Carl Yastrzemski, Dodgers Team – 1955, Yankees Team – 1952, 1955, 1956.
