Description: 1952 Rare real photo advertising postcard of Curt Gowdy Boston Red Sox Baseball Radio Announcer having dinner at The Chase Club in The Chase Hotel in St Louis. Not sure who else was at the table - maybe some knows the other guy. This is actually an advertising postcard for Gansett sic Narragansett Beer and has a printed message on the back saying Curt had a little party saying: "it went great as this great beer does everywhere - See you in New England". He was actually on the road in St Louis when The Red Sox were playing in St Louis but Gansett Beer was available at the party! He was known for his commercials while in Boston for this beer and perhaps some fans from around there still remember them. He eventually did the game of the week on TV and covered other sports besides baseball and was one of the most famous Sports Announcers of all time - an early Pioneer for this time period. Postcard is in very good posted condition with sharp corners and no creases. Both sides scanned. USE EBAY'S ENLARGE FEATURE TO SEE A CLOSE UP OF THIS Curt Gowdy Advertising POSTCARD. A rare baseball announcer postcard from Curt's early days and I have not seen any others in my years of collecting. E-mail if you have any questions.
