This is an original press photo. Alabama Highways- A dream of more than 10 years neared realization when work started on the new Jacksonville-Gadsden Highway. The work, unless held up by bad weather, should be completed in 280 days or less. The highway will run North Jacksonville city limits to Highway 241 near Duke, Alabama. Five dwellings, a store a church and several outbuildings had to be moved to make way for the highway. Photo measures 10 x 3.75inches. Photo is dated 02-05-1952.
