Description: The ungraded card from the "carbking" collection has a heavy crease in the top right corner and a lighter crease in the bottom right. There is also some light wear. The card measures roughly 3.75" x 2.75". Please review the attached pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The 1954 Stark & Wetzel cards were a promotional campaign where an Indianapolis 500 Winners card would be inserted in the packaging of one of their meat products. There are a total of 37 cards in this set, and they are very rare. As of this posting, a total of 49 cards have been submitted to PSA for grading, and only a single Gaston Chevrolet card. Gaston Chevrolet was born in France in 1892. He had two older brothers, Louis (founder of Chevrolet) and Arthur. Louis would leave Chevrolet in 1916 and formed Frontenac Motor Corporation with his brothers. Both Louis and Gaston ran the Frontenac in the 1919 Indianapolis 500 and finished in the top 10. In 1920, Gaston would drive the redesigned Monroe-Frontenac to victory. Unfortunately, he would die later that year in an accident at Beverly Hills Speedway.
