Description: 1956 Topps #152 Billy Hoeft Detroit Tigers PSA 6 EX-MT This is a mid-level PSA 6 Billy Hoeft card with nice corners, straight edges, and nicely centered in a clean, clear slab. New slab Nice ‘56 Nice corners Centered Hoeft pitched 15 years in the majors after signing with Detroit in 1950. After a couple of years in the minors, Hoeft strung together 8 seasons with Detroit, having a couple of good seasons in ‘55 and ‘56, where he went 16-7 in ‘55 and 20-14 in ‘56. His record in ‘55 earned Hoeft a spot on the All Star roster. With Detroit, Hoeft compiled a 74-78 won lost record before leaving for Boston. With Boston and every team thereafter, Hoeft reverted from being a starter to a reliever almost exclusively. He was released by the Giants in ‘66 and and ended his career at the same time. He finished with a 97-101 won lost record lifetime.
