Description: Vintage Repousse Collector's Spoon with Historical Tribute to the World's Fair 1958 Expo ATOMIUM Building in Brussels Belgium Type: Collector's Shovel Spoon, Sugar Scoop, Caddy spoon Maker: Unknown, Possibly Herbert Hooijkaas (aka H.H.) of Holland Hallmarked? Yes, Stamped on the backside Country of Origin: Believed to be Holland Pattern: Atomic Theme at top, Outdoor Tavern Scene in the bowl of the spoon Material: Vintage Silver Plate or Possibly Sterling SilverNote: Similar pieces that I have seen state that they are made out of sterling silver, but since I can not verify this, I won't claim that this piece is sterling. It is at least silver plated, as it has tarnished over the years. Condition: Very good vintage condition, has not been cleaned. We just polished away the tarnish near the hallmark area so the hallmark stamps could be seen better for the photographs. Approximate Measurements: The spoon is 5 inches long and about 1-5/8 inches wide at the bottom of the shovel, which is the widest point Ornate handle. Beautiful repousse bowl of the shovel spoon features an outdoor tavern scene with two men sitting at a table. They are dressed in colonial attire and one of the men is smoking a pipe.
