Description: Circa 1960 reprint. Exact cover material is not stated (i.e. calfskin, buffalo, etc) but is reasonably flexible by leather standards. Approximately 6.5" x 4.75" x 1.25" with gold page gilding. No ribbon bookmark (it was apparently removed). No water damage found. There is an obvious book must smell due to age, but no unbearably strong odors. I did not find any visual evidence of mold/mildew such as spotting. This book has occasional ink margin notes (in remarkably tiny handwriting!) and some colored pencil "highlighting" throughout. The previous owner also drew a geometric "step" pattern on one edge of the pages, presumably to aid with locating passages. The spine appears to be tight/secure and I did not find any page splits. The gilding has somewhat dulled but is approximately 70% intact. The covers have scratches (most noticeably on or near edges and corners, but this damage appears on all surfaces to some extent) and 4 small rips of varying sizes.
