1961 IDEAL TOYS CAROL BRENT LIZ DOLL 15.5" M-15-L Mint w/Somers & Field outfit

Description: Selling this hard-to-find Ideal Toy 15.5 inches tall Liz doll. She came out in 1961, Ideal produced her as Liz, and also through the department store Montgomery Ward, but with them she went by the name of famous Carol Brent. Nevertheless, she is the same exact doll, a taller version of what would be Tammy doll’s mom later. She has side glancing blue eyes, heavy make-up and high heeled feet. She is marked in her neck “Ideal Toy Corp. M-15-L” and also in her back with : ® Ideal Toy Corp. M-15. The company sold several separate outfits for her, which Ideal marketed as the latest fashions and produced high quality outfits. In this case she comes with a late 1990's (maybe early 2000?, not sure) Knickbocker Co. outfit called “National Gallery” from their Somers & Field of London Collection for their “The Mod British Birds” line of clothes inspired in the same name Mod movement from the 1960’s. It consists of a yellow silk custom printed mini dress with a navy blue bow on the front collar, navy blue horizontal band type accents, underskirt, navy blue tights, navy blue high heeled pumps with a pearl brooch and a navy blue velvet hat also with a blue bow. The outfit came with earrings, gloves and eyeglasses too, but she doesn't have those, she comes with what you can see, which is the main outfit, underwear, tights, hat, purse and matching shoes. Please look carefully at the photos which are the best way to see the condition of this wonderful doll and her clothes. What you see, as you see it, is what you will get.
